Maddy deserves the credit for this cute pic.
Lindsay made a delicious squash soup one night. It hit the spot on a chilly night.
We closed on our house on Wednesday, October 13th. Happy day! We decided to take the next few days to clean carpets, patch walls and do some painting. Loren did the painting all by himself since I was in Avon packing up. The playroom was a really dark navy blue and we changed it to a warm peach color. We really liked how it turned out.
Loren repainted this wall three times before he found the right color.
Packing started in earnest as soon as we closed. We're so grateful for the help with watching kids and packing we received. We planned on moving everything from Avon and our storage unit on Saturday in a big Uhaul truck. On Friday night Chris was over and he and Mom suggested moving the beds over that night so it was one less thing to move the next day.
Loren hadn't made it home from painting yet so Chris and I started moving the beds out ourselves. Seriously, who knows what we would have done without Chris. He deserves the MVP of the move award.
Moving with kids around is tough sometimes. Thanks to Grandma Peck we had a lovely dinner midst the chaos.
The next day was moving day! Loren and I left to pick up the Uhaul and take it to the storage unit to start loading it up. Chris and Mom moved the rest of the stuff in Avon into the trailer. Here's Chris moving our huge, heavy mattress up the stairs by himself. See why he gets that MVP award? He and Mom saved us with all the last minute stuff we forgot about. Like our mattress.
We made it! Chris, Mom, Maddy, my dad, Brayden, Nate and my friend Ralitza all came to help unload. Nate came just in time for the washer, bless his soul. Apparently he carried it up sixteen stairs like a he-man warrior. Thanks to everyone's help we had the truck and trailer unloaded pretty quick.
It's good to be home! We're so happy to be in our new home together. We feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be here and to have such supportive, incredible family. Our hearts are full.
