Blessing Lucy Veda Child

I know I sound like a broken record but Allie's Kiwi box was the absolute cutest. She made a cute little backpack and a fire to roast her s'mores and hotdogs.

The sandbox is FINALLY done! The sand arrived in Avon and the kids were thrilled to help Grandpa load it in the truck to bring to our house.

Dad Peck drove this beast out and delivered the sand. Then Chris and Loren shoveled and shoveled it into the box.

What fun!! The kids absolutely love it. Such a great addition to the yard.

Easter really crept up on me this year. The kids enjoyed their Easter baskets. They were really helpful during Conference.

We hung out at Grandma Rigby's during the Saturday sessions of Conference. They got a fun new climbing dome that the kids thoroughly enjoyed.

Then it was Norskies and an egg hunt on Sunday with the Pecks. I love traditions! Aaron and Lindsay hid them well this year.

Hudson and this car are BFFs.

  Landon's an Aggie!

Just take a moment and die over how cute my niece and nephew are.

I always love walking into the playroom after quiet time. Lydia made this epic train track for Hudson.

Day three of Spring Break we were getting a little antsy so we decided to go swimming at Grandma Peck's pool. Hudson was a lot more cautious than I thought he'd be. Logan was so good to play with him.

The kids had a party! Thanks to Marie for dragging like six kids all over the pool. She and Aaron are such a fun uncle and aunt!

A little more work was done on the chair.

From Friday to Monday of Spring Break we trekked down south for Emily's daughter, Lucy's blessing. What fun we had! It was so nice that everyone was able to be there. We missed Kiana who was stuck in AZ with school though. We stayed in a really nice townhome that had five bedrooms, a hot tub and comfy patios to relax on.

The boys were able to ride a couple fun bike trails. This one was called Grapevine.

This picture is everything. Adeline, Lucy, Grandma and Hudson.

The second ride they went on was to the Bear Claw Poppy Trail.

Todd, Brayden, Loren and Nate

Nate got some pretty gnarly scrapes from a crash.

The kids just played and played all day. We love our time with Greyson!

Sweet Lucy (10 weeks)

Babies in swimsuits are THE cutest thing ever.

My mom was almost always holding a baby the entire time. These kids are so lucky to have her as their grandma.

Mary made us pulled pork sandwiches on homemade buns, Mac and Cheese, roasted veggies and a fruit salad for dinner. AMAZING. I wish I could hire her every night at my house.

We had a lot of fun playing Pickleball but it seemed like the courts were always full. While we waited for one to open up, we played Four Square on the splash pad. It actually got pretty competitive. One of these days we'll dethrone Nate.

This pic just makes me smile.

Loren and I got to slip away on a bike ride with just the two of us. It was fun to be exploring together. And also wheezing together.

The boys started an epic Risk Europe game which they didn't finish. Does one EVER finish a game of Risk?

On Sunday we drove to Tyson's parent's home in Saint George for Lucy's blessing. She looked adorable and it was so special to be there to witness such a special event. Tyson gave a beautiful blessing.

  Such beautiful girls!

Lydia (7) holding Lucy (10 weeks), Allie (4), Greyson (6) holding Adeline (9 months), and Hudson (2).

These two are already best friends!

After the blessing we drove out to Ivins and dreamed of what it would be like to wake up to this view every morning.

Mary was nice enough to paint our nails! They turned out so cute!

It was mom's first time painting her nails. They turned out great!

We had such a fun few days together and was really hard to leave. I love making memories with my family.

A few hours after we got home Loren took Allie to her first soccer practice. She did so good and had a lot of fun.

Lydia and I had our first game yesterday. It was total chaos trying to figure out the subbing and making sure each player got the same amount of playing time, while trying to referee at the same time. I'll get better at it and I was really impressed with our team. They all played great even in the freezing wind. We'll see how our game goes tomorrow.

Home Again!

The end of another school year is here and with it brings our cross country road trip to Utah. Yay! We planned our trip two months in advance because my dad needed time to book our hotels. At the time, it seemed like common sense to leave right after Loren's last final on Thursday. I mean, what did we have to wait around for? The sooner the better!    Fast forward a week before we were to leave, I was seriously questioning our decision making abilities. Why didn't we just wait to leave on Friday so Loren could help me pack and finish cleaning? I still had a million things to do and couldn't get any of it done with Lydia wanting my attention. Loren was busy studying for finals and I felt guilty asking him for any help. What the blazes were we thinking?! It was a stressful time, to say the least.    One morning we woke to sirens and fire engines blaring. The visitors center had caught on fire! There was smoke everywhere and we spent the rest of the mornin...

"Grandma and Grandpa- Fun!"

One thing i've really missed while being in Virginia is going to our siblings competitions and events. It's been so fun to be able to see them all in action this month.    Todd and Brendan were both involved in a debate competition. I was really impressed with how well they did, it's a scary thing but they did great!   The Wellsville mile is one of my favorite events of the year. It seems like theres more kids every time and they keep getting faster. We were so proud of Todd and Brendan, they both ran personal best times. Lydia had a blast watching all the kids, she wanted to run with them! Todd's enterauge. Emily and her friends were able to run with him. Great job boys!   This girl has amazed me with her dancing. She's grown so much from last year and is such a gorgeous dancer. It's so much fun to watch her. We went to her end of year dance performance and had a great time. Thank goodness for Loren, he's the only one who remembers to camera to take pictu...

Thanksgiving Bash!.. and Crash

I have to say, this past week has been the most fun and exhausting week we've had in a long time.  But before we get into that, we had our first snowfall a couple weeks ago.  Lydia was DYING to make a snowman so daddy went out and helped her make one. They had a blast!   Here's some of Lydia's school papers.    The weekend before Thanksgiving our basement flooded.  One of the tubes that hook onto the gutter was pointed directly towards our house instead of away.  Thus, we had water in our family room and the unfinished room.  It kept coming in for two days.  About every 10 minutes we had to suck up the water on the first day, then about every hour on the second.  I think we have learned our lesson and plan on digging trenches to make a more efficient drainage system.  Thanks to everyone who helped! No permanent damage was done and we're so grateful.   Loren had a guys night with his...
