Lydia turned six years old! Where has the time gone? I got a bit nostalgic this week and started looking at pictures of her as a baby and toddler. Boy, we had some rough times. I remember wondering to myself after one of Lydia's massive tantrums if she would ever grow out of them. I'm happy to confirm that she has! Not only that, but she's grown into the most fun, funny, sweet and kind little girl a mom could ask for. I truly love spending every day with her and seeing her grow and accomplish new things. She has such a kind heart and is quite possibly the most popular kid in her Kindergarten class. I'm so glad I get to celebrate all her birthdays for forever!
Lydia's new obsession is a show called PJ Masks. It's about three kids who turn into superheros and fight crime. She was thrilled with the PJ Masks costumes she got!
These pictures are a little dark but we went to Great Harvest and got a sandwich and cookie for lunch.
All Lydia wanted to do for her birthday was go to the park. I guess that tells you how often we go these days. We invited the Clark girls to come too. They had a blast!
Lydia loves creating new things with Legos.
Grandma Peck made a delicious peaches and cream dessert. She also ordered a science subscription box for Lydia for 6 months. The first box came the other day and she had a total blast putting together a claw for an arcade game. Such a fun idea! Grandma Rigby gave her some sun catchers to paint, and she painted all twenty of them in two days. Crafts don't last for long around Lydia.
We made applesauce this year! It was our first time so we weren't sure how it would turn out but the kids love it so I guess it's a win. Nothing smells more like fall than making homemade applesauce!
We've had a fun week celebrating our girl. We're so proud of the little person she's becoming and couldn't be more grateful that she's ours.
