The beginning of Lydia's dancing career.
A few days ago we woke up to the first snow of the season. The girls were ECSTATIC and begged me to let them go out at 8:00 am. So I bundled them up like little eskimos and sent them out to have a snowball fight and build a snowman.
I was out with them for awhile and even managed to build a snowman, but sadly, it toppled over. Thank goodness Dad came to the rescue.
It wasn't a snowman, I'm not quite sure what it was but the girls loved it!
Never too early for Uke lessons!
Last Tuesday we went down to Jack Mason, Loren's uncle's, funeral. He was battling cancer and passed away last week. He was such an amazing man and we pray that his family will have the strength and capacity to make it through these next few hard months and years. It was good to all be together, even Sarah was there as she flew in for the Thanksgiving holiday from law school. After a beautiful service, we had an amazing lunch put on by the Relief Society.
Thanksgiving is chuck full of traditions, but one that my family looks forward to the most is the annual Rigby Turkey Bowl Football Game. All of my cousins and uncles gather for the big face-off. My brother, Cam, came up from Sandy just for the occasion. We were so happy he brought Greyson, he and the girls had a blast cheering on the teams. I was proud of my hubby, he scored a touchdown and made some amazing catches. That's my baby!
I sure love these guys!
These cute kiddos all had such dirty faces from playing hide and seek in the bleachers.
The big day finally arrived! We went to Avon this year for the Swan Thanksgiving. Oh my goodness. The food was INCREDIBLE. Grandma Swan made stuffing that was the best I've ever had. I couldn't get enough of it! Mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, beans, jeweled pears, cranberry salsa (Sarah's favorite), and of course, turkey! As a pregnant woman, I was in complete bliss. I ate way too much but I can always blame it on Little Jr., right? Stacey also made an orange creamsicle pie that was to die for. Ahh, Thanksgiving, I love you.
Yesterday was a crazy day and I just didn't have energy to cook dinner so Loren ordered Cafe Rio. We both could tell something was different, then remembered Romain lettuce is being recalled for e-coli. I had no idea how much Romain took part in the deliciousness of a sweet pork burrito. I won't take it for granted again. After we ate, we had a new FHE treat, worms in dirt! The girls loved it, Allie kept asking for more and more worms. After our treat we set up the Christmas tree. I forgot to get a picture because the night was mostly spent keeping Allie from breaking ornaments or stabbing herself with the wire hooks. I'm really in love with our tree though and love the way our home looks during Christmas. What a fun season!
Last week we took the girls to see the baby's ultrasound. It was so fun to see him and the growth he's been doing. Lydia loved it and kept asking the technician all sorts of questions. Allie was a little less enthused. Our baby is doing great and growing every week! I've found that fatigue has set in again and I usually can't make it through the day without a nap. I've also had to regulate my eating and make sure I'm consistently eating and drinking at least every two hours or I feel like I could pass out. So as long as I have food and a nap, life is pretty good. We're so excited for December and all the fun things the season holds!
