I can't believe how fast October went by. I'll sure miss it! The girls and I had fun at the Stokes Nature Center last week for the last time until Spring.
Nate's been playing on a flag football team and his team made it to the Championships. A bunch of us went and watched the game at the Maverik Stadium. It was a close game but they ended up winning! It was fun to see Nate back on the football field.
It's that time of year again, time for the pumpkin walk! They had some great scenes this year. Loren, my mom and I took the girls and had fun trying to find the world pumpkin in each scene.
I tried to get Allie to look at me for the picture but she was mesmerized by the witch.
That might be the cutest Bob the Builder ever before seen.
Todd has had quite the football season. He sustained a concussion, and hurt his arm and knee. It's really hard to be injured and takes a lot of positive thoughts and time to get over. I'm grateful he has Nate who's always there for support. Love these brothers of mine and we're all so proud of Todd for the incredible effort he put into his season.
I guess I haven't announced it on the blog yet so here it goes. We're having a baby BOY the end of March! To be honest, it took Loren and I a couple days to get excited about a boy but now we're thrilled. We can't wait for our little guy to join us. As Lydia likes to say, "My dream of having a baby brother has finally come true!" I was pretty sick all through the first trimester but am doing much better now. It's surreal to think of another baby coming, sometimes I feel terrified of having three. But I know the girls will be great helpers and our little one will certainly have plenty of mothers.
We had the annual Swan pumpkin carving day at Shara's out in Mendon. They have such a fun home, it's a child's dream! Lydia and Allie were on this swing forever. Thanks, Shara, for such a great time!
Ice cream at Grandma's. For Allie, nothing is better.
We celebrated Maddy's birthday last Sunday with a beef stroganoff dinner and peach cobbler for dessert. YUM! Maddy and Landon both have birthdays on Halloween.
Lydia's Halloween program was so cute! She wanted to be Cinderella. Lydia's the oldest and tallest in her class. She's enjoyed being a leader helping the other kids.
For as long as I can remember, my Grandma's costume has included this little spider. It's not Halloween without Grandma's spider!
I had a cute little ladybug costume for Allie to wear this year but once Lydia had her princess dress on, all bets were off. She insisted on wearing her own princess dress just like Lydia. So I took two Elsa's to the Main Street trick or treating in Logan. They had a blast and got plenty of candy.
Later that night we went to Chris' for more Trick or Treating and a birthday party for Maddy and Landon. Allie let me put her ladybug costume on with the promise that she could wear wings. Fun times with cousins!
Allie was definitely the warmest of us all. Fun night!
Loren and I woke up at 4:30 am to make it down to Lehi to watch my brother, Cam participate in the Adobe Analytics Challenge. Cam is getting his MBA at the U and his school chose him to be on their team. There was two other guys on his team and they had to come up with solutions for TMobile's real life problems. There was six teams total, one from Texas, Georgia, DC, and more. It was incredible that Cam's team made it to the finals and even more incredible when they won! Winning came with a $35,000 grand prize. We were so proud of Cam and the hard work and passion he put into his presentation. He's lighting the world on fire!
Mary had just as much right to claim the win as Cam. She's the most supportive and positive person you'll ever meet. I'm so grateful Cam has her in his life. She's the best!
This was when the team found out they won!
Congrats to the Red Bulls!!
