I guess they don't say April showers bring May flowers for nothing. It rained almost every day last week and we were all going a little stir crazy. Lydia ran out to the sandbox to play for 15 minutes before the next rainstorm.
Loren thought his dad would appreciate this tree.
This was one of Lydia's favorite parts. Floating umbrellas!
Lydia loved smelling the tulips.
There was a Light of the World Exhibit that was amazing. There was sculptures of Christ through the journey of His life. It was truly incredible to see the detail and beauty of the sculptures.
Tunnel to the Secret Garden.
I had to get at least one picture of our Allie girl. She did so good, she hardly made a peep the whole time.
The children's play area.
FISH!! Not going to lie, these guys kind of creeped me out. Pretty sure they would have eaten us alive if we'd fallen in.
Just as we started walking out of the garden, it started pouring. We timed it perfectly. What a beautiful, amazing day! I really, really hope we can go back next year.
These horses and little Disney characters were probably the best purchase I ever made. Lydia LOVES these guys. It's so fun to see her get more creative with her play.
I told Loren I really wanted cookies one night and he made them! With a little help from Lydia of course. I sure love this man.
Lydia got some lipstick in her Easter basket. She had fun applying all the colors she had on her lips one morning. I told her to pose for me and got this. A model in the making.
Allie is really moving! I have to keep a close eye on her now because she'll roll across the room in a second. She's not crawling yet, more like scooting but I'm guessing she'll get there really soon. Goodness, but I love this little babe. Her smile gets me every time.
This past weekend we spent in Hyrum. My brother Nate and his wife are selling pest control in Chicago this summer. This is the last weekend they'll be here so we all got together for one last hurrah. It was so great to all be together again, it's been a long time since my parents are trying to sell the house. I'm glad we made it happen.
Lydia and Greyson loved dancing to Just Dance on the Wii.
I'm really going to miss our walks to the Dam when my parents move.
We're so glad to have Emily home from Cedar for the summer!
Apparently this is what Loren and Allie do during Sunday School.
Our Salt Lake Pass includes admission to Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point. The Tulip Festival just happened to be going on so we'd thought it'd be a great time to check it out. When we got there, we realized regular admission is $20 a person! We looked at each other in amazement and wondered who on earth would come for that price. Now having seen for ourselves, we would totally pay $20 to see it again. The garden was truly breathtaking! It's been our favorite attraction we've been to so far. I can't even begin to think about the number of tulips that were there, hundreds of thousands at least.

We're hoping this week will be a little nicer so we can get outside. We're ready for summer!
