Well, ya'll should get comfortable because this is going to be a longer post. These past two weeks have been fun but really busy. I'm glad I can finally get caught up.
Lydia got a book from the library about a boy who makes a bear cave. So of course, we had to make our own.
My dad sent me a picture of his oatmeal looking like this. Seems my mom had a sense of humor one morning. I was inspired and made Lydia's oatmeal with a smile too. Apparently Lydia liked it a lot more than my dad did.
Hooray for Spring! We've absolutely loved being outside enjoying this amazing March weather.
Just a little jammin' before bed.
Last Saturday we started our Salt Lake City Connect Pass adventure! We went to the Clark Planetarium to watch a movie on the Imax screen. It was called A Beautiful Planet and was in 3D. Lydia wasn't thrilled with it, she kept trying to duck from the 3D stars that hurled towards her crying, "Stars are scary! I want to go home now!" But with a little popcorn bribery, we made it through. It was a really fun time.
Lydia's getting pretty good on her bike now. We sure love the bike trail.
I found this Amazing Race game at the DI the other day. We played it with Sarah, Zach, Emily and Cam last Sunday. It was pretty fun, I think I'll learn a lot about the world. Sarah and Zach came home from Cambodia for their Spring Break and stayed the night with us. Emily also stayed with us as she was going home from Cedar for her spring break. It was fun to have us all together.
Lydia started swimming lessons on Monday. She loves it! She has a great teacher, Miss Hannah, and is learning to put her ears in the water and blow bubbles. She probably the most timid in her class but I think overtime she'll get used to it. She goes Monday and Wednesday for 25 minutes. The hardest part is explaining that she can't play on the slides after the lesson is over.
Wednesday was Allie's helmet check at Primary Children's. I was excited for the possibility of getting it off, but sadly, she has to keep it on for four more weeks. Sigh. Hang it there, Allie girl! You'll have the most perfectly shaped head in all the land.
Loren's March Madness bracket. Doing pretty well so far.
Work has been pretty slow for Loren lately so he took Thursday off. We heard that the Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Point is pretty crowded on weekends so we thought it'd be a great time to go. It was, except for the billions of kids there for field trips. Lydia was run over by hundreds of seven and eight year olds, and she didn't like it one bit. Just as she'd start to play with something, some other kid would get right in her face, which would then ensue a meltdown. We decided to stick it out and I'm glad we did because once we went to other parts of the museum, Lydia calmed down and started having fun.
This place went on and on. We literally could have been here all day. Such a fun place!
Allie had a blast in this water table. It was the cutest thing to see the little babies splashing to their hearts content. I wish we had one at our house.
Up in the jungle canopy.
We wore daddy out!
Our Salt Lake City pass has already been so fun, I can't wait to experience more!
Loren and I have qualified for a USDA loan, which means we don't have to pay a down payment for a home. The only catch is that we have to buy in a rural city or town. That means no Logan, North Logan or Providence. The down payment was the only thing holding us back from buying a home in August so now buying is a reality. We'll start seriously looking the end of April. It's stressful but also really exciting. Life couldn't get any better right now. How I love my little family.

Tuesday we drove to Hyrum to help my mom get ready to paint. Mom Peck watched the girls for a few hours while my mom, Emily and I worked on our biceps while washing the walls. Emily's ten year old self is in big trouble for this! I wish I lived closer so I could help with the house more. They're hoping to have it up for sale in a couple weeks.
