The weather was so nice last week and then all the sudden we had a skiff of snow and freezing temperatures this morning. I guess it's still winter here in Virginia.
Loren started his new classes this week. It was a little hard to get back into the groove of things but he thinks this semester won't be quite so hard as last. Still a lot of work but he won't have to spend so much time figuring out how to take notes, study, etc.
Tuesday Loren came home and asked if I wanted to go out to dinner. I wouldn't have to cook? Sure thing! When we got to the restaurant he surprised me by saying that he got the internship with Judge Stewart for the summer! That means that we'll be in Utah! I was elated and so proud of the hard work he did last semester. It will be such a great experience and we're excited to be close to family.
Lydia's made big leaps this week. She rolled over from her tummy to her back for the first time! She'll try anything to get out of tummy time :) She's also been talking up a storm- it's so cute! But along with the cute- she's fought us really hard when we put her down for a nap. I guess there's just so many other things to see and do that taking a nap is too dull. Just when I think I've figured out a good schedule, she'll change it up. She certainly keeps us on our toes.
Last night we had the sister missionaries over for dinner. They are doing great things and I was reminded that I need to do better with missionary work. It's so easy to get caught up in the daily routine that we forget what's really important. I'm going to do better!
Lydia and Loren on the plane :)
Below is Lydia and I on the plane in Detroit. We took this pic while we were waiting to take off. After waiting for 9 hours in the airport, and finally making it on the plane, our hopes were dashed when he informed us we'd not be flying anywhere that night. My smile quickly faded!
Lydia home at last with her new favorite toy- her ladybug!
Below is an after-church picture. She looked pretty cute!
