We love celebrating Easter! This year the girls and I ran the mile race at the Hopsticle Run while Loren and the boys decorated our eggs for the Egg Roll down Old Main. They used shaving cream and food coloring which made a cool marble effect. Eggs are really expensive this year. Normally I can get 60 for around $7 but it's gone up to $27 due to bird flu. So every kid got five this year as apposed to their own carton.
Lydia did an amazing job at her debate for SEM. She had to debate in opposition to high school sports. We're proud of her!

Soccer was a wild whirlwind as usual. We had games every night except Friday for a month. Lydia, Allie and Hudson all played this year. I was able to coach Allie's team for the first time and had a blast. I'm proud of my kids and glad they have fun too.

Our trampoline mat and net had holes in them. I ordered new ones but when they came we discovered I ordered the wrong size mat. Kristen had just used Shaun's industrial sewing machine to sew their mat so I decided to try it out myself. We had three springs that had come off and luckily Kristen had extra triangles for them. I haven't touched a sewing machine since 7th grade so I was a little nervous about using Shaun's super nice, expensive machine. But with a quick crash course by Kristen, I had sewn completely all around the mat. I had a crazy headache afterwards but it was so rewarding to have fixed the mat for $3 instead of $200. Super grateful for dad and Kristen in helping me get that done.
My Mothers Day breakfast this year. Sure grateful for the blessing I have to be a mom. It's the hardest most rewarding thing I've ever done. I truly have the best kids!
The Young Women had a silent auction fundraiser for camp this year. Allie saw this turtle and camped out right next to it the entire time making sure no one else bid for it. If they did, she would sprint over to me and ask me to up the bid. She was ecstatic when she won it!
Gravitrax is still a fan favorite over here.
Lydia ran in the Wellsville Mile this year! What a crazy, full circle moment to have my daughter run in the same race and on the same course I ran on. Fifth graders from a few different schools all gathered for the race. Lydia was in the 4th heat (fastest) and was hoping to beat her personal record of 8 minutes flat.
Kristen captured this perfect moment.
I love this one too. She was thrilled to beat her PR!
So proud of our girl! I told Lydia I would hold her race card so she wouldn't lose it. I had it in my hand as I was putting the boys in the car to head home. When I got home, I realized the card wasn't in my pocket like I thought it was. After tearing the car apart and still not finding it, I wondered if I had dropped it in the parking lot somewhere. So I loaded the boys back into the car and drove all the way back to the parking lot. Sure enough, a little white card which now had black tire marks all over it was laying on the ground. Was it worth it? Time will tell but I still have my card and am hoping it will be a fun memento for her to remember this fun day years down the road.
5th grade has been a busy one. A few days after the mile Lydia participated in the Niblyonium. The fifth graders chose someone they admired and had to memorize a one minute presentation about that person. They created a poster and dressed up like them too. It was so fun to see all the creative costumes! Lydia chose Elenor Roosevelt and did a fantastic job.

The girls had their music recital and it was great but loooooong. We got there at 5:15 and made it home at 10 pm. I spent a lot of time with the boys outside.
Memorial Day with the fam! We loved visiting Kaleb and Grandpa Rigby. Loren and I got super sick so we couldn't hang out that much but made it for a little bit.
Lindsay and Rachel were able to come visit for a few weeks and we loved spending time with them.
Lydia has impressed me so much this year. She earned the Great American Award which took a lot of work. She had to memorize all the states and capitals, the presidents in order, memorize the Gettysburg Address, Star Spangled Banner and complete a workbook. I'm so so proud of her!
She was also awarded the Ultimate Brave Award out of three from her class. Her teacher got emotional as she talked about Lydia. We have loved Mrs Houser and hope Lydia gets her again for 6th grade.
Allie was also awarded the Ultimate Brave Award! Allie is always respectful, kind and inclusive. I just couldn't be a prouder mom!
Lydia was also awarded an exceptional academic award.
There is not a cuter Kindergarten graduate!
Last day of 2nd Grade for Allie!
Last day of Kindergarten for Hudson!
Last day of 5th grade for Lydia! Can't believe next year is her last year of elementary school.
Mrs Houser had a party at her house for her students. We love her so much!
The girls celebrated the first day of summer by sleeping out on the tramp for the first time. Hudson was on a "boys" camp with dad and loved every second of his one-on-one time.
Mom and Dad Peck were kind enough to give us their bunk bed for the boys. They love their "new" bed! I felt a lot of different emotions as we took down the crib for the last time. Although I think fondly on that time with babies, I truly love the stages my kids are in right now. Every phase is a blessing.
Allie finally lost her tooth!
We used our membership to the American West Heritage Center. The kids had a blast panning for gold!
Ryan's Place Park is a frequent stop.
Lydia heads off to Girls Camp tomorrow and a couple weeks after that we head to Disneyland! The summer already seems to be going by so fast. Can't wait to make more memories with my favorite people.
