Halloween and Thanksgiving Festivities

I'm sitting here trying to figure out how it's already the end of November. My baby Jace is already four months old! He is the sweetest, smiley baby you ever did meet. He's my little squish! He's at a really fun stage and I'm just trying to soak it all in. How we love this boy.

We pulled out the jumper the other day and he loved it!

Hudson was really proud of his shoe tower he made on top of Lightening McQueen. It was actually pretty impressive how he got that sandal to stay on top.

Halloween was fun this year. We had our annual Halloween dinner and invited my parents, Brayden and his girlfriend over. I was really bad a taking pictures but did manage to snap a couple of our appetizers. Worms in the dirt also made an appearance for dessert.

The girls were excited to both be a witch this year. They had fun in the school costume parade. Allie has morning Kindergarten so she walked with the afternoon class. She was nervous but I was proud she decided to stay and do it. She told me she had fun afterwards.

We always start our trick or treating off at Grandma Rigby's!

I had a cute wizard costume for Hudson but he decided right before we left that he didn't want to wear it. So he was a Hudson this year.

We then had our traditional Halloween party at Chris and Kristen's. There was trick or treating, yummy food, a birthday party for Maddy and Landon, and Aaron and Loren performed Luigi's Mansion. They've been working on it for a long time and it sounded great! Maddy also told us she's expecting a boy! We're excited Jace will have a little friend.

Mom Peck's birthday came quick after Halloween. We sure love this amazing woman!

I went to the girls' parent teacher conferences. They are both the top of their class in everything! Even more important is they both are respectful and kind. I could not be more proud of these two and more grateful to be their mom.

The tooth fairy visited Allie again!

We are having a reeeeeally hard time potty training this boy. We watch the Daniel Tiger potty episode like everyday. It's going to click one of these days right??

Hudson couldn't wait another second to play outside in the first snow of the season!

I love walking into the playroom after quiet time and seeing this.

The whale was teaching all the other animals.

The most amazing thing is happening. Em and Tyson are moving here in January!! We could not be more excited! They came up last weekend to look at houses and the kids had a blast playing with Lucy. They made a band with Grandma and played a cute little song. So fun!

Loren is trying to get the chair done before Christmas. It's looking so good!

We've told the kids that we're taking them to Disneyland in two years. They got really excited and started pulling together whatever coins they could find. We're going to get a Disneyland jar and start saving our pennies!
The girls were able to go with Loren to his hearing the other morning. Judge Walsh was super sweet and let them sit in his chair and bang the gavel. It was fun for them to see what dad does.

Thanksgiving was spent in Avon with the Peck's this year. Lydia made a dutch apple pie by herself and it was delicious! It was fun baking with my girl.

The food was top notch! I'm still dreaming about Lindsay's mashed potatoes and Grandma Swan's stuffing. It was a wonderful day with family.

Home Again!

The end of another school year is here and with it brings our cross country road trip to Utah. Yay! We planned our trip two months in advance because my dad needed time to book our hotels. At the time, it seemed like common sense to leave right after Loren's last final on Thursday. I mean, what did we have to wait around for? The sooner the better!    Fast forward a week before we were to leave, I was seriously questioning our decision making abilities. Why didn't we just wait to leave on Friday so Loren could help me pack and finish cleaning? I still had a million things to do and couldn't get any of it done with Lydia wanting my attention. Loren was busy studying for finals and I felt guilty asking him for any help. What the blazes were we thinking?! It was a stressful time, to say the least.    One morning we woke to sirens and fire engines blaring. The visitors center had caught on fire! There was smoke everywhere and we spent the rest of the mornin...

"Grandma and Grandpa- Fun!"

One thing i've really missed while being in Virginia is going to our siblings competitions and events. It's been so fun to be able to see them all in action this month.    Todd and Brendan were both involved in a debate competition. I was really impressed with how well they did, it's a scary thing but they did great!   The Wellsville mile is one of my favorite events of the year. It seems like theres more kids every time and they keep getting faster. We were so proud of Todd and Brendan, they both ran personal best times. Lydia had a blast watching all the kids, she wanted to run with them! Todd's enterauge. Emily and her friends were able to run with him. Great job boys!   This girl has amazed me with her dancing. She's grown so much from last year and is such a gorgeous dancer. It's so much fun to watch her. We went to her end of year dance performance and had a great time. Thank goodness for Loren, he's the only one who remembers to camera to take pictu...

Thanksgiving Bash!.. and Crash

I have to say, this past week has been the most fun and exhausting week we've had in a long time.  But before we get into that, we had our first snowfall a couple weeks ago.  Lydia was DYING to make a snowman so daddy went out and helped her make one. They had a blast!   Here's some of Lydia's school papers.    The weekend before Thanksgiving our basement flooded.  One of the tubes that hook onto the gutter was pointed directly towards our house instead of away.  Thus, we had water in our family room and the unfinished room.  It kept coming in for two days.  About every 10 minutes we had to suck up the water on the first day, then about every hour on the second.  I think we have learned our lesson and plan on digging trenches to make a more efficient drainage system.  Thanks to everyone who helped! No permanent damage was done and we're so grateful.   Loren had a guys night with his...
