We love our trips to Second Dam with Grandma Rigby. The kids have a favorite spot off the trail that they like to find sticks and explore.
The Fourth of July came fast this year. We went to the Rigby breakfast in the morning and then the parade with the Pecks. Poor Hudson wasn't a fan of the loud trucks so we had our hands over his ears the whole time. The kids were happy with the bucket load of candy they ended up with. After the parade we went to Grandma Swan's for the usual amazing pulled pork sandwiches, salads and fat boys.
After lunch we headed back to the Rigby's for fun on the inflatables, yard games, board games, pools and yummy snow cones. Hudson was living his best life sitting in this jeep eating his snow cone. He had fun playing with Max again. I loved being able to catch up with my cousins and enjoyed the day with them. We missed my family who was gone but had a great time.
Loren is so close to being done with the chair. It's so beautiful!
Kristen and I signed Lydia and Atticus up for Nibley's pickle ball lessons. It's been fun to watch them improve. We're excited to play together now. Lydia also started voice lessons with Brittany who lives here in Nibley. I was so fortunate to find an amazing teacher who lives close by. She's been loving it.
Hudson grabbed his own blanket and pillow and fell asleep on the floor at ten in the morning one day. He must have been really tired.
Grandma Swan gave me the biggest surprise by decorating my shelf in the kitchen. It's been empty the whole time we've been here and I just haven't had the energy or motivation to do anything with it. She even had a theme, "Time and Eternity". On one end are things that represent time and the other is eternity. It was such a thoughtful gift and is something all the family enjoys on a daily basis. I don't know how I got so lucky to have such incredible family.
Allie couldn't wait for her birthday! She was so excited and hardly slept the night before. She got a barbie that she can do makeup and hair on along with some food to play restaurant with. She's my sweetheart and is growing so fast. I really can't believe she's six.
I've started giving the other kids a tiny gift on birthday's too. I've found it's helped with resentment and helped everyone to be excited for the special day.
Lydia spent hours writing a story for Allie's present. At the end she wrote a few poems and Loren and I could not stop laughing at this one. So great!
We had to have our traditional bear sandwiches for lunch.
After lunch we went and played at the Denzil Stewart Nature park. We love this place. It's a kids dream with so many trails and woods to explore. I remember coming here when I was a kid with my cousins and we would play for hours.
Then it was time for the beach! This is what Allie wants to do every year and it never disappoints. We love having all our family together and were thrilled to have Cam, Mary, Greyson and Addy there this year. It was so fun to be together!

It was a fun and exhausting day. So grateful for the six years we've had with our sweet Allie and can't wait for all the memories we'll make in the future.
