I die every time Hudson does this. Go ahead and get comfy.
Preschool fun.
Hudson and Allie pulled out the recorders the other day. We have some work to do.
The chair is coming along! It's so fun for me to see these pictures and get a glimpse of just how much work it's taking to make these. Dad, Chris and Loren are actually making five at the same time. It's fun to see each with different wood come together.
Loren said Chris squatted in this same position for hours.
Here's a sneak peak to our latest project!
The kids love playing with the kinetic sand Grandma Rigby gave them for Christmas. Hudson is finally getting to the point where he's not putting every single thing in his mouth.
These ball pit balls have been the best investment ever. The kids do so many creative things with them.
Allie has definitely been feeling the effects of being a middle child lately so Grandma Rigby had her over for a special afternoon. She had so much fun! She said her favorite part was singing and giving Grandma a makeover. I'm so grateful for family who gives my kids what they need when I can't sometimes.
My favorite picture ever.
We love having dance parties! All the kids dressed up this time. I guess it's time to expand our dress ups to more than just princess dresses for poor Hudson.
I'm not sure what got into me the past couple weeks. Usually I'm the kind of person that never decorates because there's too many decisions and I feel like I'll regret what I do decide to do. I guess 3.5 years of looking at blank walls finally gave me the courage to just do it. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a whole bunch of frames, ordered some prints off of Etsy, and printed some family pictures. I'm so happy with how it all turned out! It's a huge relief and gave me an extra boost of confidence when it comes to decorating. Not that I want to do anything like it again for a very long time, I'm pretty burned out. But I love the way our home feels now. I didn't realize how much of a difference it makes to have decoration.
I have to thank Mary for this one, she gave me the idea. Loren loves the fact that he can play his instruments more now that they're out of their cases. I love the colors of the painting in middle too.
It's also nice to have a special place for Charlie.
Emily had her baby on January 28th (Brayden's birthday!)! They named her Lucy Veda Child and she's such a doll. We are so excited to have another cousin!
Random pics from Saint George that I don't know where else to put...
Show and Tell day for Allie. She took her perfume for the letter P.
Loren went ice fishing with the Teacher Presidency. It was his first time and he said it was actually really fun. He bought a year pass so he can go more with Chris.
We haven't had much snow this year, it's been a little strange. The kids love any time they can play in the snow.
Of course there's equal parts work and play.
The kids had a blast sledding with Aaron and Atticus the other day. Aaron is such a fun uncle.
Allie's cute Kiwi Box!
The other morning I filled up the kids' bowls with oatmeal then noticed it looked a lot like the Three Bears bowls...
Loren has been so incredibly busy at work lately. We've hardly seen him the past few weeks. It's been hard on everyone and we're definitely looking forward to a little calmer times. I was dying to go down to Saint George and see my sister and her new baby but wasn't sure how I could manage it with Loren being so busy. When Loren heard I wanted to go he offered right then and there to help with the kids. I'm so grateful for him and all he did and sacrificed so that I could go meet this sweet little lady. Brayden and I drove down on Friday and stayed until Sunday. I could not get enough baby cuddles.
This was Em and Tyson's first outing with Lucy! We went to a nearby park for a picnic. It was a balmy 60 degrees and we weren't mad about it.
I had to take a picture of this amazing bike station. It had a pump and all the tools you need.
Mom, Brayd and I stopped by Pioneer Park for a little bit Saturday afternoon.
My favorite part of the trip was snuggling sweet Lucy in the quiet of the early morning. It was like snuggling a piece of heaven. I really miss those quiet times with her. The weekend went by so fast. I'm so grateful for Em and Tyson in letting me come. I love them all so much.
While I was in baby heaven, Loren and Mom Peck were holding down the fort in Avon. The girls loved having two sleepovers at Grandma's and playing with Aaron. Apparently Hudson even slept in. I still need Mom to tell me what kind of magic spell she put on him to achieve that.
Loren worked a lot on the chair. Loren's Uncle Sheldon is making one too.
It was the first time I had ever left the kids and gone someone on my own. I was pretty excited to see them again and almost died when Hudson gave me a long hug and kiss. He was forgiven for all the mischief he's been in. The boys made a lot of progress on the chair while I was gone!
This picture is everything.
Lydia took these pictures to help her remember her gear creations.
Monday vibes.
The girls have been so excited for Valentines Day. They had lots of fun at their school parties.
We love our time with Livy and Atticus. We're so excited for their new baby sister who should make her arrival any day now.
My sweet friend gave us some clothes for Lydia. She loves them.
What an amazing surprise we had when Cam, Mary, Greyson and Adeline came for a visit on Friday! It was the first time we'd seen them since August so we were pretty excited! They had to go back that night so it was a quick trip. We soaked in all the time we could. Hudson was obsessed with Adeline. He kept saying, "Oh, baby" and patting her lovingly on the head. She's completely adorable and has grown so much. I can't believe she's seven months now!
We finally went on our first cross country ski run last Saturday. There just hasn't been a lot of snow but we finally made it out after a recent storm. We had a blast with Aaron, Landon and Dad Peck. I can't believe how fast Aaron is, he left me in the dust. It was such a fun morning!
Can you spy Landon? He is the fastest snowshoer I've ever met. He kept up with us and we were on skis.
Lucy's first Valentines Day! Such a sweetie.
