A Rona Wedding

Maddy and Daniel were married on May 2nd in Avon. Just a day before the wedding, the restriction limiting gatherings from 10 people lifted to 20. That meant Loren and I could go! It was an absolutely gorgeous day and Grandma Swan outdid herself with the beautiful decorations.

Maddy looked beautiful! It was so fun to see her wear Em's dress.

There was a live stream going for everyone who couldn't be there. We really missed Rach, Jon and Sarah who were in Washington and Linds who was in Cali.

Daniel's dad married them.

This table was unbelievably gorgeous. Grandma Swan outdid herself!

Mom spent a lot of time preparing food. There was twice baked potatoes, prime rib, fruit, rolls and salad. It was amazing.

The beautiful cake made by Stacy. It tasted as good as it looks.

It was such a beautiful day and we're so grateful we were able to be apart of it. Congrats to Maddy and Daniel! We're even more excited to go to their sealing tomorrow since they lifted the restrictions from six to 16.

Home improvement projects are the best! Loren replaced these ugly lights with two new LED ones. It has made such a difference, I love it!

Cam, Em, Sarah and Landon were all supposed to graduate this year but of course the graduations were cancelled or postponed. Loren and I decided to put together a family virtual Zoom graduation instead. It was a blast! Loren put so much work into making a family video of everyone singing Pomp and Circumstance. We asked questions about their school experiences and everyone shared how proud we all are of them. I think it was definitely memorable! We're so proud of Cam from graduating with his Masters from the U, Em graduating with her bachelor's from Dixie State, Sarah graduating law school from William and Mary and Landon graduation high school from Mountain Crest.

Cam, Mary and Greyson came up to visit Kaleb for his birthday/andgelversary. We sure enjoyed spending the day with them and remembering our sweet Kaleb.

I love these photos Shanda took for Loren's work profile. That's my handsome attorney!

One of Lydia's school assignments.

This whole Rona experience has been hard on my wallet. I couldn't help but snatch this up for the five minutes it was back in stock. It's been nearly impossible to find trampolines, bikes, or outdoor toys right now. The kids have loved it though so no regret yet!

We had a fun adventure on our Sunday walk in Avon. The kids loved playing in the water tunnel. I love that it's warm enough now to do that.

Em and Tyson came to visit for a few days and we had a blast! Em and I went to Roolee, which had just opened back up the day before, we played games, ate good food and went on a hike at Second Dam.

Todd showing us his climbing skills and me telling the girls that just Uncle Todd get's to do that.

The kids adore their Aunt Em and Uncle Tyson! We hope they come back very soon.

Lydia's sunflower she planted for school.

The girls had a LOT of fun with the chalk the other morning.

I've stopped making Allie take naps even though she still needs them. It's just way to much work putting her down with Lydia home. It's not common that she passes out at 5 pm, and me too apparently.

We finally got bikes! It's taken weeks of searching KSL and doing research but we finally made it happen. Loren found one in Sandy and had to pay fifty bucks more than the guy was asking for him to hold it. Cam was nice enough to pick it up for us. I found one in Providence just twenty minutes after it was posted at 8:30 at night. I ran over right away and when I got there the lady told me she had someone from Salt Lake who would come right then if I didn't want it. That's how fast bikes are going right now. It was a really nice bike in great condition so I took it! Yay! Then I found a Weehoo trailer for Allie in Ogden and she loves it. I ordered a baby seat for Hudson on Amazon and was so excited when it finally came because, it too was out of stock for awhile. But now everyone is outfitted for fun family bike rides! We tried them all out for the first time with a ride to Grandma's. It was so fun and I'm excited for many more rides to come!
Loren thought Allie's pose looked a lot like Rach's childhood pics, haha.

It wasn't that warm but the kids couldn't wait another minute after we got our water pressure issue fixed to put the sprinkler under the tramp. Hudson loved it!

We enjoyed a really fun ride up South Canyon with mom, Linds (who came for a couple days to visit), Kerri and Kim. We biked 4.5 miles up and back. We can't wait to do it again!

Home Again!

The end of another school year is here and with it brings our cross country road trip to Utah. Yay! We planned our trip two months in advance because my dad needed time to book our hotels. At the time, it seemed like common sense to leave right after Loren's last final on Thursday. I mean, what did we have to wait around for? The sooner the better!    Fast forward a week before we were to leave, I was seriously questioning our decision making abilities. Why didn't we just wait to leave on Friday so Loren could help me pack and finish cleaning? I still had a million things to do and couldn't get any of it done with Lydia wanting my attention. Loren was busy studying for finals and I felt guilty asking him for any help. What the blazes were we thinking?! It was a stressful time, to say the least.    One morning we woke to sirens and fire engines blaring. The visitors center had caught on fire! There was smoke everywhere and we spent the rest of the mornin...

"Grandma and Grandpa- Fun!"

One thing i've really missed while being in Virginia is going to our siblings competitions and events. It's been so fun to be able to see them all in action this month.    Todd and Brendan were both involved in a debate competition. I was really impressed with how well they did, it's a scary thing but they did great!   The Wellsville mile is one of my favorite events of the year. It seems like theres more kids every time and they keep getting faster. We were so proud of Todd and Brendan, they both ran personal best times. Lydia had a blast watching all the kids, she wanted to run with them! Todd's enterauge. Emily and her friends were able to run with him. Great job boys!   This girl has amazed me with her dancing. She's grown so much from last year and is such a gorgeous dancer. It's so much fun to watch her. We went to her end of year dance performance and had a great time. Thank goodness for Loren, he's the only one who remembers to camera to take pictu...

Thanksgiving Bash!.. and Crash

I have to say, this past week has been the most fun and exhausting week we've had in a long time.  But before we get into that, we had our first snowfall a couple weeks ago.  Lydia was DYING to make a snowman so daddy went out and helped her make one. They had a blast!   Here's some of Lydia's school papers.    The weekend before Thanksgiving our basement flooded.  One of the tubes that hook onto the gutter was pointed directly towards our house instead of away.  Thus, we had water in our family room and the unfinished room.  It kept coming in for two days.  About every 10 minutes we had to suck up the water on the first day, then about every hour on the second.  I think we have learned our lesson and plan on digging trenches to make a more efficient drainage system.  Thanks to everyone who helped! No permanent damage was done and we're so grateful.   Loren had a guys night with his...
