Grandma Peck got Lydia a science box subscription for her birthday. The first one came the other day and she and Loren had a blast putting together her claw arcade!
Todd finished up his cross country season at region. He did so well and has improved so much since his first race. Now he starts swimming and we're excited to see how he does.
One of our favorite traditions of October is the Pumpkin Walk! There wasn't near as many people as there was last year, probably because of the abnormally cold weather. It was so cute!
My favorite was Rafiki holding a baby squash Simba.
A couple Saturday's ago we took a bunch of stuff to the dump. When Loren was younger his dad would always take them to get ice cream after a trip to the dump so we decided to take the kids to experience their first after-dump treat.
Hudson is seven months! I sure love this squish. Lately he's been waking up every hour at night and it's been a struggle. I stood firm last night and didn't feed him until 4 AM and am hoping if I stay consistent, he'll finally start sleeping. For the sanity of us all I'm praying it works. Good thing he's so cute!
Last Saturday was the annual Swan pumpkin carving day. They bust out the power tools and make some crazy cool creations. It cracks me up to see how different these two girls are. Lydia squealed and wouldn't touch the guts while Allie was elbow deep in the stuff. It was a fun day with homemade fries, other good food and wonderful family!
Grandma Rigby planned a Halloween party for the girls and it was so cute! They played with homemade play dough, pinned the nose on the pumpkin, frog in a box game, marble run game and had a pumpkin walk. The girls are so lucky to have such a fun grandma, they had a blast!
One of my favorite memories as a kid was when my mom planned her Witchalina dinner. She would make all sorts of spooky food and dress up as Witchalina. I decided to carry on the tradition somewhat and make a spooky dinner of my own. Why does everything on Pinterest look easier than it really is? Here was my attempt at mouths, eyes on a log, and mummy dogs. Good thing the kids aren't too picky, they loved it!
We saved the best for last, worms in the dirt!
The other day I looked downstairs and saw all three kids having fun together. These are the moments that warm my soul.
We went to Grandma Pecks to pick out costumes for Halloween. Lydia chose to be a butterfly princess.
Allie was a dragon.
You all know how much we "love" Halloween. Loren threw some sunglasses on for a couple minutes in an attempt to "dress up". Haha, I'm just grateful he came trick or treating with us. We started trick or treating early because of the abnormally cold temperatures. The kids made out really well!
We always love celebrating Maddy and Landon's birthday on Halloween as well. It's a double party!
Cute kids!
We played some games this year like bobbing for apples, eating donuts on a string and having a mummy wrap.
Yesterday we had a lovely visit in Avon. Aaron creamed both Loren and I in Reversi. Family time is the best time.
It's crazy to think it's already November. The Holidays are just around the corner and we couldn't be more excited!
