The other day I was cleaning my bathroom when I felt the need to relieve my middle school days.
This was an interesting development. Allie really wanted to sit on the toilet so I let her. I was ecstatic thinking that maybe she was ready to be potty trained, but she's shown no interest in it since. Oh well, I'm not that eager to repeat that experience quite yet.
Rachel had her senior clarinet recital. It's truly amazing how accomplished she has become. These were the treats Lindsay made for the occasion. YUM. We're so proud of Rachel and all her talent and hard work.
The other day I went on a walk with the girls and we found a park we've never been to before really close to our house. It was a fun find, we'll be coming back a lot.
Painting rocks!
Kiana and Rachel both graduated with their bachelors in Exercise Science. We celebrated Kiana's graduation with a picnic up at Second Dam. I forgot how much I love it up there. Nature is so healing for my soul. It was such a fun time with family.
Dad caught a fish on his first try! Lydia was thrilled and enjoyed poking the poor thing.
Lydia loves her Aunt Kiana. Kiana and Nate are headed to Connecticut for the summer to sell pest control. As we were leaving, I told Lydia to say goodbye because we wouldn't be seeing them for a couple months. Lydia started crying, she'll really miss her fun aunt and uncle.
A couple Sundays ago my family and I went on a walk to a park by my parents house. My Uncle Alan, Aunt Leslie, and cousins Brad, and Liz came too. Brad has a slack line and we had fun trying to stay on. Lydia did really well!
I love summer nights when my uncles, aunts and cousins gathers in the culdesac to visit.
That face!
Jon and Rachel were married on May 11th in the Logan Temple. It was such a special sealing ceremony. Rachel looked beautiful and they were both so happy! Even though it was raining, it was a beautiful day. We have to thank Lindsay for babysitting and transporting five babies/kids to the temple for pictures. She's seriously superwoman.
Love these siblings! We missed Maddy who's currently serving a mission in Hong Kong. Also, I couldn't help but wonder if Charlie came to visit for awhile. It's comforting to think that he did.
We were supposed to have the reception outside in Avon but it was raining so we moved everything to the church. It was still so beautiful. I seriously thought I had been transported to the Garden of Eden as I walked in. Grandma Swan spent so many hours of preparation making it absolutely gorgeous.
See all those incredible cakes, tarts and cookies? Lindsay baked all of them. She's been baking and freezing for months now. They were perfection. She should be so proud of the hundreds of hours she put into making them.
Cutting the cake that was way to beautiful to be cut! Lindsay made this one too. There's nothing she can't do!
It was so fun to spend a few days with Sarah. Lydia wouldn't leave her side.
The woman of honor! Grandma Swan produced an incredibly beautiful reception. I am in awe of her talent. Beautiful job!!
My personal favorite was the cookie dough. I find myself daydreaming about it all the time.
Lydia's new favorite thing is fairies! One morning she made a few fairy houses and wanted a picture.
Lindsay's ballet recital. Lydia loved watching all the beautiful ballerinas. Lindsay was so beautiful.
We got to visit both our moms on Mother's Day. I truly have been so blessed with the Mom's I've been given. We went on a walk after lunch in Avon. I adore the fields and mountains in the Spring. On the way, Sarah took this pic.
Lydia loves Sarah so much. We're really going to miss her this summer when she goes to Bangladesh.
For Mother's Day Lydia made this for me at preschool. So cute! Maybe I'm too strict about bedtime...
Another successful consignment sale haul! I'm actually really excited about what I got this time around. Lots of cute dresses and outfits. Little girls are the best.
