Be ye warned, your snapchats just might make it to the blog. Don't worry, Mom, it's for posterity.
A couple Saturday's ago we had the annual Swan Easter Egg Roll at Pioneer Park in Mendon. As always, there's something weirdly satisfying about chucking those colored eggs down the hill. It was freezing and windy but that didn't deter these kids.
Allie figured it out pretty quick.
We put part of our play set up a few weeks ago and the girls have loved trying out the swings.
And the tramp!
My last two blog books came! Now I'm all caught up and that's a great feeling. I love these book so much and find myself flipping through them almost everyday.
This is why I'm not an Instagram photo taker. But I had to share my awesome bargain story! I went into Walmart and saw this kids dish set for $5 at the front of the store. As I meandered down another aisle, I saw the same set on a low shelf for only $2. I snagged it and when at the checkout line told them it was marked for $2. They confirmed the price and I left the store quite ecstatic about my score.
The girls and I have had a blast watching Lindsay and Brayden at their track meets. Lindsay has rocked it in the discus.
I love watching Brayden run. He looks a lot like my older brother, Cam, when he ran. He's doing so well and I couldn't be a prouder sister!
We went to the Peck Hadfield ice skating party. Here's a nice shot of Landan's face.
Allie couldn't stand to be on the sidelines and insisted to go out on the ice. So everyone took turns dragging her around and she was in heaven.
Lydia did very well and kept insisting she didn't need the walker. She wanted to go fast like Aaron. Maybe next year!
Allie made her own little bed.
Lydia had her last soccer game. It was supposed to be outside but the weather was bad so they had to move it inside. Lydia was heartbroken and told me on the drive there, "I'm not going to have any fun, I just want to stay mad." She stayed pretty true to her word and was weepy most the time. But her coach was so good and tried to help her.
Cute team! Excited for next year.
These girls love play-doh. They have fun making cookies and snakes.
Loren's office bought a table for a charity dinner and auction and we were able to go for date night. It was pretty amazing, they had a show, amazing food and decorations. It was fun to be with Mom and Dad Peck.
Mom and I were thinking that our dinner's at home have been a little lacking lately...
A big thanks to my mom for watching the girls. Grandma's lap is their favorite place to be.
Rachel had her bridal shower last Saturday. She got so many nice things. We're excited for her wedding in a couple weeks!
I thought both the girls were napping so I decided to lay down for a few minutes. While I was sleeping Lydia snuck in beside me and fell asleep.
Happy Birthday to Todd! The girls adore their Uncle Todd. Loren and I are having a blast watching the extended edition of The Lord of the Rings with he and Brayden. Oh and Emily, if you're reading this, there's a lot more romantic parts in the extended edition!
I've been waiting for this day for four years. Finally Lydia can help with chores!
All that vacuuming wore her out.
Spring in Cache Valley looks like this. You never know what you're going to get. Lydia insisted on pulling out her snow clothes and making train tracks in the snow before it melted.
Last Monday we went and helped clean up the yard in Avon to get ready for Rachel's reception. Picking up sticks was so fun with these guys! Sure love all these people.
Fun day at Ryan's Place Park.
We had fun with Atticus and Elizabeth.
The Skyview Track Invitational was one that Lindsay had been dreading for a couple weeks now. She was so stressed about qualifying for BYU and for some reason wasn't performing as well as she was hoping. The day of the meet came and this girl left it all out on the field. She threw 97', a new personal record and qualified for BYU! We're so proud of her, it takes a lot to get past the mental barriers you put up for yourself. Great job, Lindsay!!
The girls made these signs for her. I guess they were good luck!
We got the cutest little postcard from the girls' cousin, Greyson the other day. Lydia was so excited to get some mail for her. Thanks Greyson (and Mary) for making their day!
Yesterday we tried to finish putting up our play set. Halfway through we discovered we put a crucial piece on backward and now have to take a bunch of it apart. It's turning out to be quite the project but, by george, we'll get it done.
