We've been enjoying the beautiful fall weather the past few weeks. The leaves are gorgeous and the air is crisp. It's one of my favorite times of the year.
Our Purple bed came! We're quite impressed with it so far.
I've been taking pics of Lydia's school papers because I just don't have the space to keep them all. She's getting better at writing her name!
Yushi made us all Sushi before he moved to California. We'll miss him, and especially, his sushi!
The girls helped as I tried to clean out the garage.
My mom found these little cars at the DI. They've been the absolute best! The girls love riding in them to the little park nearby after preschool.
More preschool artwork.
All Lydia wanted to do for her birthday was go to a corn maze. So we invited all our family to the Little Bear Bottoms corn maze.
Mom Peck, Landon and Aaron came for awhile before they had to leave.
My mom, dad, Brayden and Todd went with us through the maze. About ten minutes into it we could hear Lydia saying, "Somebody get me out of here!" Allie had the same sentiments and bawled through most of it. I think we'll wait a couple more years before we attempt that again.
New princess dresses from mom and dad. DI find for $3 each!
Fun new toy from Grandma Peck. She loves figuring out where all the gears go.
Our new rug finally came! I'm really happy with how the front room is coming together.
A couple weeks ago was Charlie's Cancerversary. It was a somber day as I reflected on memories. I was able to go by myself to Hyrum Dam and sit in this peaceful spot by the water. It was sure soothing to my soul.
Storytime with Grandpa.
Last week Loren was gone from Wednesday to Sunday. He went to California for a Trial Lawyers Conference. It was pretty intimidating and he was really nervous but he made it through and learned a lot of valuable things. While he was gone, I took the girls to Nibley's Scarecrow Fun Run. I signed Lydia up for the 100 Yard Dash. She was pretty excited to race!
On a whim I decided to sign up for the 2 mile race. With the girls in the stroller we set off. It was actually pretty fun!
Turns out there was a stroller division and I got first place! I got all this stuff from Stork Landing. It was the most fulfilling 2 miles I've ever ran!
Last Saturday we got together to celebrate Lindsay and Lydia's birthdays. Lindsay made her own cake and we're all grateful she did. It was stunning.
Lydia filled up all the boxes on her Good Listener chart. This time she wanted ice cream. Allie was happy to reap the rewards as well.
Over UEA weekend Mom, Dad, Rachel, Lindsay, Landon, Aaron and us went to Yellowstone. We stayed in a cute little cabin in Island Park. The first day we were there it was 50 degrees and sunny. We didn't see a lot of wildlife but we caught a glimpse of a few bison.
We got to see a lot of the thermopools and gysers. They were truly breathtaking.
Allie thought the bubbles popping in the mud were hilarious.
The crew!
The next day was freezing! But we still wanted to see more so we headed back to Yellowstone. I'm glad we did, we saw some amazing things!
We also caught a glimpse of this coyote. He blends in really well.
We had such a fun time being together and seeing the beauty of God's creations. It was a memorable trip.
A couple days ago we got a text from Grandma Swan telling us to meet at her house on Sunday for a big surprise. When we got there, we were told to follow her car out to Paradise. We drove out to the Paradise Park and to our complete surprise, saw a beautiful bench in memory of Brendan. Landon had taken on this big project for his Eagle but had a lot of help from Dawna Major. No one knew, not even Mom! Over 100 people showed up to witness the "unveiling". I was so overcome and couldn't believe the kindness and love of so many people. It makes my heart so happy to know that other's still think of and remember Brendan and love him as much as we do. It was a beautiful evening with beautiful friends and family. I hope Brendan was able to see it.
We got our family pictures taken! Shanda, Loren's aunt, is an amazing photographer and captured some beautiful moments. The day of the shoot Allie was sick so we didn't get any big smiles from her, but I'm more than happy with what we got.
Shanda told Lydia to find a beautiful, colorful tree to stand by. This was her tree of choice.
