After the past few weeks we've had, I can say I've ever been happier to see the end of law school approaching. There's definitely a light at the end of the tunnel Loren and I are both moving towards. Well, more like desperately sprinting towards. There's been an insane amount of work for Loren to do and he's been up later than 1 a.m. almost every night last week. I can tell fatigue and the stress has been wearing him down. Thank heavens we're almost there.
On Tuesday my friends Michelle, Karissa and I took our kids to Lynchburg to a children's museum. We had a great time, Lydia loves all the exploring and new things to see and do.
Lydia and Adeline building a wall to roll their golf balls down.
Nolan and Lydia playing with an awesome light toy.
Lydia, Adeline, and Nolan digging for treasure.
Karissa's kids, Afton and Nolan.
This was Lydia's favorite part of the museum, floating the boats down the stream.
Sitting inside a real boat.
I feel so blessed to have such great friends to share times like these. Michelle is due in just a couple weeks and we're getting excited for her.
Along with the stress of school this week, Loren and I looked at our bank account and realized we are really poor. Like, won't even be able to pay for the baby poor. If Loren started work right after graduation we'd be fine but we have to wait till the middle of August. This was weighing hard on my mind all week and I cried many hopeless tears about how we were going to make it. Thursday I went to H&R Block to get our taxes done, yes we like to wait till the day before they're due. We weren't expecting much of a return at all with as little as Loren worked that year. But to my utter disbelief, we received more than we ever thought. I was almost in tears and knew it was an answer to prayer. Thank you to all who've been praying for and supporting us, not just now but all three years of this adventure. We're so very grateful.
Yesterday Karissa and my friend Starleigh put on a baby shower for Michelle and I. It was so fun and sweet of them. It was potluck family style at Kids Playce park so the husbands came too. Loren wasn't too thrilled about the idea but was finally convinced when he knew there'd be other guys there too. They stood in their corner and talked law while us ladies talked about babies. Fun times! I'm so sad we didn't get any pictures. The only one we got was of this awesome diaper bouquet Karissa made for both Michelle and I. Michelle's was blue of course.
I've slowly but surely started packing. I was able to get some boxes this week and packed my first box full of books. I've decided if I do a little each day it won't be so overwhelming. That's the plan anyway, I've decided I'm pretty great at procrastinating and having a little girl who always wants me to play horses doesn't help the process. But little by little we'll get there.
Here's to another crazy week. We love you all so much and are grateful for all you do for us.

We are so excited for you to return home. I am so glad babies come whether we are ready or not. That way we can see the miracle of life and the other miracles as well. Live right--Expect miracles!
