When we came back to Lexington two weeks ago it was sunny and 50 degrees. I was in heaven and somehow got the impression that spring was right around the corner. I guess I should stop my daydreams of spring at least till March because it's definitely winter here now! Storm Jonas dumped two feet of snow on us in two days. Thankfully we just got snow and not the power outages and wind that other places had. You always know a storm is coming when all the bread and milk is wiped out at Kroger and everyone in the county is there stocking up on supplies.
Even though I'm not a huge snow fan, we sure had a fun time sledding! Lydia could have stayed out there all day. School was cancelled for Loren so it was fun to have daddy home to play too.
Immersion is finally over, thank heavens. The past two weeks have been so crazy for Loren. He stayed up till 2 am more than once trying to finish assignments. This weekend has been a much needed break from all the craziness of school. Lydia loves having her daddy home.
Our little girl is growing up so fast! This morning we were working on some puzzles when all the sudden she grabbed a book nearby and said, "See, mom? Four corners and four sides. That's a square!" I'm pretty sure I just sat and stared at her with my jaw on the floor for at least three minutes. It's so fun to see her learn and discover new things.
If you haven't heard, we're expecting baby #2 in July! I went in for my first appointment last week at 14 weeks along. I had an ultrasound and heard the heartbeat. It's always a relief to get past that first appointment and know that everything is ok. We're excited to meet him/her!
Well here's on to another week. We hope its a great one for everyone. We'll be thinking of Charlie as he goes through another round of Chemo. Love you all!
