It's been awhile since I've written. It's funny, the longer I go without posting, the harder it is to catch up with everything. In just two and half weeks Loren will be starting his first final! It's been hard to wrap our heads around it. Loren will be hitting the books hard from now till then trying to get ready for his four finals.
These are a few of Loren's pics he took awhile ago. He's such a talented photographer!
We had a law families get-together at Kids Playce Park a couple Saturday's ago. It was lots of fun! We had a good turn out- about six families. Loren and I baked sugar cookies for it all morning. We had way too much fun with the cookies cutters.
Classic Lydia walk- watching her feet.
Loren took Lydia to the library while I went to Roanoke for a consignment sale. They got a new RV Camper for the kids to play in and its super cute. Loren was quite ambitious for taking pics- usually its all I can do to keep Lydia from pulling all the books off the shelves and other such shenanigans.
Lydia used to eat a bowl full of oatmeal every morning but now she likes cheerios. Not by the cheerio on my chinny-chin-chin!
Lydia loves looking for birds out on our walks. When we saw a few hanging out on the grass, she wouldn't be satisfied till she chased them away.
Our good friend Michelle put on a recital with her brother on Wednesday. It was amazing music, they are both so talented!
Last Tuesday the bishop called and asked me if I'd sing at a funeral. I was so nervous! I had never sung by myself before and was worried I might ruin the spirit or somehow offend the family if I squeaked or couldn't hit a note. Plus, I only had one day to figure out a song and practice. Because of time I chose a simple hymn, Nearer my God to Thee. I think it turned out ok. It was a really nice service and I felt the spirit was there. I was glad I had the opportunity to stretch myself!
Lydia is officially 18 months! Which means I can now take her to nursery without feeling guilty! Not that it does me any good, she won't let me out of her sight. If Loren or I slip out the door, she has a total meltdown. So I stay with her through Sunday School and Loren comes in during the third hour. She's so attached to us and won't let anyone else hold her or be with her. We're hoping she'll get over it this summer when there's more people around to hang out with. Who knows? Silly girl.
My absolute favorite thing she does now is "fishy kisses". We both make a fishy face and give each other a kiss. It's pretty adorable. I hope it doesn't come back to haunt me when she starts kissing random little boys at the park...
Well, the count down is on! Just three weeks and we start our cross-country road trip home. We're so excited! Love you all and hope its a great week!
