The Joys of the Season

We've started this Christmas season out right! Only in Lexington can you find a Christmas parade. It was one of the best parades I've ever seen! Lydia was enthralled with everything, she really loved it. There was everything from fire trucks, Boy Scout floats, unicycles, bands, ballerinas, bubbles, the grinch, Santa and more! What a fun night!    Michelle and I took the girls to see Santa. It went a little like this-   The girls weren't too excited :) Maybe next year?   Well Loren is working like a crazy man this week. He has finals on Friday, Saturday and Monday. He's working so hard, we would appreciate your prayers for him this week. So after finals... We're coming home!! In just 7 days we'll be on the plane, hard to believe. We're so excited to see everyone! Hope you have a great week and we'll see you all soon!

Out With the Old, In With the New

It's taken me forever to get this post up! It sounds like everyone had a fantastic thanksgiving (or thanksgiving's in the peck's case). Last week just flew by. Michelle and I get together with the mom's club on Tuesday mornings and we walk about a mile or two on the trail. It's one of my favorite places to be. Everybody say cheese!  One of Loren's classmates invited us to her home for the big dinner. There was also a professor from the school and a family from the czeck republic there.  We decided to be ambitious fo...

Oh, Boy!

You remember the balloon from Halloween? Lydia held onto that thing for the next three days, dragging it all over the house with her. Even when it was nothing more than a deflated blob, she lovingly tugged it along. I finally mustered the courage to throw it away during her nap time and thankfully she didn't notice. Who knew that would be such a hit?    Fall has been winding up here in Lexington. Last Sunday we drove up to our friend Jon Tucker's house. He had just finished building his home pretty much by himself and invited us to come see it. It was beautiful and the view made it ten times more so! Jon holding Lydia I watched my friend, Marissa's kids, who are 2 and 7 months, for awhile one day and it was crazy! I found that I had totally forgot how to deal with a 7 month old baby. Seriously, that was only six months ago for me but it seems like forever! Lydia had a hard time understanding why I kept holding Ainsley and not her. She tried slap...
