This photo might just be the greatest I've accidentally taken in my life! As you can see, we've had quite a fun week. On Wednesday Loren and I went to a few consignment stores looking for baby things and some odds and ends we needed. The last store we went to was called Habitat For Humanity. As we were looking around, we spotted what looked like a brand new baby swing. I tried it out and it worked great! It even plays some cute little jungle songs while it swings. We asked the cashier how much it was and she said she'd let us have it for $5! Usually they don't sell baby things but someone had dropped it off and the store just wanted to get rid of it. AND because it was 15% off everything day, the total cost came to $4.75. Basically, it was the best bargain of our lives and I couldn't stop smiling all day. We've been so blessed!
Friday we decided to check out the Natural Bridge Zoo which is just 15 minutes from our house. Loren had been there before when he was 3 or 4 but has no memory of it. It was fun to be a place he'd been when he was little. This zoo is so fun! I'm so glad we bought the food for the animals because we were able to feed many of them right from our hands. It was a crazy experience! I let Loren feed the long-tonged giraffe's and slobbery-mouthed camels while I stuck with the cute little goats.
Does anyone else know giraffe's have insanely long tongues? I didn't, and I obviously wasn't prepared!
One thing on our bucket list is to ride this elephant! We'll come back after October and check it off.
We loved how this bear was just chillin' next to the pool. All he needs are some shades and a can of pop in his hand then he'll be set.
We had a great time and hope to go back soon!
(Loren:) It was fun to see this zoo because I've always seen pictures of Chris and I with these bear and elephant statues when I was just 3 or 4. I'd seen the pictures so many times that I felt like I knew the place!
We've had a lot of fun with our new Monopoly game we bought at Goodwill, which is like a DI. It even had all the pieces, which is amazing. We're now addicted and it might be our new favorite game. Brayden would love it, we'll have to play over skype or something.
(Loren) It's been great, no work and no school! We walked up to the Law School for the first time this week, and saw our first fireflies! It's a pretty campus -- and quiet for now. We see more students move in every day. Here are some pictures!
See you next week!
I love the pictures, but I'm still kind of sad you moved. :( I love the accidental photo of the giraffe sneezing -- its great! And I love the belly pictures. I can't believe your due date is coming up so soon! That little lady is going to make her appearance in no time!
