This is Life

  It's getting harder to remember what life was like before Covid-19. Going to church, the library or even a park seems like a distant memory. I'm looking forward to the day I can go to the store without feeling stress and feeling like I have to justify everything I put in my cart. Is it OK that I have two canisters of oats? Is that hoarding? Should I leave one for someone else? If I do I'll have to come back next week and we aren't supposed to go often.. and on and on. We've been encouraged to wear masks out in public now. It's so surreal.    A typical day goes something like this: 8:00 am: work out... sometimes, if Hudson let's me 9:00 am: school for Lydia (videos and worksheets) 11:00 am: walk to the school to get lunches for the kids 1pm: Quiet time (while Hudson takes a nap, girls are in their room reading quietly, playing their games, or resting in their beds for one hour. A Month of Quarantine

  We're now starting week five of quarantine. Honestly it's hard to remember what life was like before social distancing. Any novelty in our situation has completely worn off. Yesterday it was announced that school would be closed through the rest of the year so it looks like we'll be homeschooling until May 29th. I really have to take the days one at a time or it feels too overwhelming.    I've been more creative with activities for the girls than I think I ever have before. Em told me about this chalk activity and it turned out so cool!     Lydia's feelings about the virus.   I was pulling up this grass the other day and Lydia runs up and says, "Mom, don't pull the grass! We need it when we play 'salad'!"   The Easter Bunny made it to our house this year.  Nibley City put on an at home Hopstacle course competition.
