Track Meets and Skating Rinks

Be ye warned, your snapchats just might make it to the blog. Don't worry, Mom, it's for posterity.  A couple Saturday's ago we had the annual Swan Easter Egg Roll at Pioneer Park in Mendon. As always, there's something weirdly satisfying about chucking those colored eggs down the hill.  It was freezing and windy but that didn't deter these kids.   Allie figured it out pretty quick.  We put part of our play set up a few weeks ago and the girls have loved trying out the swings. And the tramp!   My last two blog books came! Now I'm all caught up and that's a great feeling. I love these book so much and find myself flipping through them almost everyday.   This is why I'm not an Instagram photo taker. But I had to share my awesome bargain story! I went into Walmart and saw this kids dish set for $5 at the front of the store. As I meandered down another aisle, I saw the same set on a low shelf for only $2. I snagged it and ...

Blessings From Heaven

This is a blurry photo but we had a lot of fun at Grandma Peck's pool for FHE last Monday. Allie and Lydia are little fish and couldn't get enough of the water. It was such a fun night with family!   Last Saturday, the day before Easter, the girls got their baskets from the Easter Bunny. The kite's lasted approximately two minutes before they broke. I think I'll be buying the Walmart brand next time. They loved opening their eggs and Allie downed all her candy in one big mouthful.   After the girls had enjoyed their baskets, I put them in the bathtub. As I turned the water on to wash their hair, I wasn't getting any hot water. Loren and I looked at our water heater and to our dismay, noticed rust all over the unit. We started researching how much water heaters cost and were a little terrified when we saw some over $2,000. It was pretty depressing and I could feel the stress start to take over.
