So Happy Together

   What a fun week it's been! It was Loren's spring break and Lydia and I loved having him home. Lydia got a lot of daddy-daughter time, especially in the early hours of the morning so I could get a little more sleep. Best week ever! Can it be spring break every day??   Loren had a lot of studying and preparing for finals to do so we just hung around home most of the time. We took lots of walks to the school and library. Lydia loves all the attention she gets from random strangers on these excursions. She makes many friends everywhere we go. Silly girl!   Friday we went to a little cafe in downtown Lexington called Blue Sky for lunch. I just love all the cafés and bakeries they have here. The atmosphere is really laid back and everyone is super friendly. Plus, the food is amazing! Mouth watering sandwiches and steamy, hot soups. The week we've all been waiting for has finally come- spring break! We're so excited to have a little more time with Loren, Lydia sure loves daddy time.    Our Lyddie bug just keeps growing and learning new things everyday. Sometimes she gets frustrated because she wants to crawl and move but can't just quite yet. She's can sit up with a little help and is rolling over all the time now. Here are some of her favorite things: Apple juice  Cereal Her ladybug toy Playing airplane with dad Her cash register Walks in the stroller Singing with the primary kids Singing herself to sleep Her feet Chewing on anything she can find Dancing with mom to Disney songs Kisses and big hugs Looking at herself in the mirror Brushing her hair Some of her dislikes: Being burped Loud noises The vacuum (she literally starts shaking when I turn it on) Being left alone Too many people around her That's all I can think of for now.   So the first week of March looks something like this here in Virginia:   Yuck. Where did our spring go? At least Loren get's to stay home and party with us today. Hopefully it will all melt away before spring break next week, which we're counting down for. Loren can't wait to have a break from classes.    Lydia has been sleeping so much better! We broke down and bought a Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit because the swaddle just wasn't working anymore. We were a little skeptical as it looked like an oversize snowsuit. Wouldn't she sweat to death? But desperate times call for desperate measures. Turns out, if we keep the room a little cool she doesn't get hot at all. She slept for eight hours in it one night! That's what we call magic.    Loren was invited to the Admitted Students Weekend lunch on Saturday.
