Remembering

But when the bad days come, they swallow us whole. Sometimes there's a few tears shed and other times the tears don't stop. There are days when his passing seems almost like a dream. Like, did that really happen? Sometimes it seems so surreal.    Today I'm remembering memories of Charlie. Memories of him at Oregon in our car. On Christmas when we made him a rocket launcher and he made me a heart necklace made out of wire. The basketball, baseball and kickball games. Him bouncing around making Lydia laugh. His first debate at Canyon Elementary. Him running in the Wellsville Mile. And on and on. So many memories are surfacing today. Although it hurts, it also feels good to remember.
